About Duke Health’s Patient Revenue Management Organization

The Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO), is Duke Health's fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization that supports the entire health system in streamlining the revenue cycle. This includes scheduling, registration, coding, billing, and other essential revenue cycle functions. The PRMO Business Intelligence (BI) department resides within the PRMO and is responsible for understanding the core technical components of Duke Health’s EHR. The department is responsible for the design, development, support, and execution of reports, dashboards, and data solutions to support Duke Health’s revenue cycle operations.

General Description of the Job Class

The Consultant, IT serves as the BI platform and strategy lead for the PRMO Business Intelligence team. This role is responsible for defining BI standards, governance, and long-term analytics strategy in alignment with organizational priorities. The position provides oversight of BI platforms, security, and organizational reporting frameworks, and partners with senior and executive leadership to shape high-impact analytical initiatives. The Consultant, IT holds accountability for consistency, scalability, risk management, and the overall effectiveness of BI solutions with the PRMO.

This role serves as a senior technical leader within the PRMO Business Intelligence team. The position provides advanced technical guidance, consultation, and support to Business Process Consultants and Senior IT Analysts, helping shape solution approaches, resolve complex issues, and ensure consistent application of BI standards and best practices across the team.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

• Strategic BI Initiatives:
