Job summary

ABB is seeking a motivated Sales Specialist for Renewables service offerings. You will generate service sales leads, translate customer needs into ABB ECS Renewables solutions, and coordinate with Operations and Engineering to ensure successful proposals.

With 3+ years in sales and a background in business or engineering, you will drive relationships, extend market share, and leverage tools like Salesforce and Box to manage opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or sales field or combination of education and related experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales-driven role.
• Technical knowledge of electrical engineering, electric vehicle and solar energy infrastructure highly preferred.
• Strong communicator with solid presentation skills and proficiency in analytical software and digital sales tools, including Salesforce and Box.

Responsibilities

• Generates service sales leads and partners with senior peers to develop new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information and through identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios.
• Utilizes team database to understand the existing customer base and identifies and develops sales opportunities for additional opportunities within the market.
• Acts as a marketer and salesperson of ABB’s Renewables service products and solutions through marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).
• Translates the needs of customer into relevant ABB ECS Renewables offerings and solutions.
• Supports tailored proposal generation to meet customer needs and internal targets.
• Establish long-term customer relationships by understanding their requirements and our technical service product solutions knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM).
• Document customer feedback and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering to understand risk assessments related to price, quality, and overall package requirements.
• Registers required information in the appropriate customer database.
• Plans and performs the right number of weekly sales visits and reports them on CRM.
• Reports leads and opportunities, manages, and updates pipeline in CRM.
• Updates and monitors sales proposals and tenders and follows-up on proposal statistics.
• Communicates contract details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy and manages administrative sales processes.

Your Background:

While base salary is determined by things such as the selected applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $83,300 and $133,280 annually and is bonus eligible.
