The candidates will be expected to participate in the EGS rota which is currently 1:13 but will likely move to 1:16 following consultant expansion of posts in UGI/EGS. The rota includes a commitment to cover the Major Trauma Centre at the RVI and in‑house support/mentorship/further training in trauma care is also readily available as required. Additional posts will enable support for a new reconfiguration of the EGS service aimed to provide the highest quality, continuous specialist and colorectal surgical input for the EGS.
