Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an SAP ABAP Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy SAP applications using ABAP, including reports, interfaces, BAPIs, and forms. You will work with functional teams to convert business requirements into technical specs and ensure best practices.

The role involves code reviews, optimization of programs, and collaboration on SAP upgrades and integrations, with a hybrid work model requiring 2–3 days onsite.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in ABAP programming including Reports, Dialog Programming, Enhancements and Forms (Smart Forms, SAP Script, Adobe Forms).
• Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented ABAP, S/4HANA, and CDS Views.
• Nice to have: SAP certification, FI/CO modules experience, and SDI data integration familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom SAP applications using ABAP including Reports, Interfaces, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, and Forms.
• Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Prepare technical documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer to support teams.
• Participate in SAP upgrade and migration projects; support integration with other SAP modules and third-party systems.
• Provide production on-call support after office hours as required.

What you'll be doing

You will be joining the company’s Finance Technology team. As an SAP ABAP Developer, you’ll design, develop, test, and deploy custom SAP applications using ABAP, including Reports, Interfaces, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, and Forms. You will work collaboratively with functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your responsibilities will include conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to SAP best practices and the company development standards, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to SAP custom developments and integrations, and optimizing existing SAP programs for improved system performance. You will prepare comprehensive technical documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer to support teams, ensuring all custom solutions comply with SAP best practices and coding standards. You’ll also participate in SAP upgrade and migration projects, support integration activities with other SAP modules and third‑party systems, and provide production on‑call support after office hours as required. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days per week onsite at the office.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate solid experience in ABAP programming, including Reports, Dialog Programming, Enhancements, and Forms (Smart Forms, SAP script, Adobe Forms). You have hands‑on experience with Object‑Oriented ABAP, development on the S/4HANA platform, and knowledge of HANA‑specific optimizations such as CDS Views. Nice to have: SAP certification, experience with SAP FI/CO modules, and familiarity with SAP SDI components and data integration.
• You have a strong technical foundation. You are proficient to design, develop, test, and deploy custom SAP applications using ABAP, including Reports, Interfaces, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, and Forms, Enhancement Framework, BADI/User Exits, modular programming, and developing and consuming OData services. You have experience integrating with SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, and exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 development is an asset.
• You are a collaborative problem‑solver. You work effectively with both technical and functional teams, possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
• You are compliance‑focused and detail‑oriented. You prepare comprehensive technical documentation, ensure all solutions comply with SAP best practices and coding standards, and facilitate effective knowledge transfer.
