Qualifications

  • Willing to travel, up to 75%, for client engagements requiring multiple days on-site.
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and adapt to AI platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead nonprofit leaders, including Executive Director, Head of School, Development Team, and key volunteers to successful fundraising work
  • Lead planning studies, capital campaigns, and other related services
  • Cultivate and sustain major gifts programs, drive successful campaigns, and support annual fundraising
  • Lead study interviews, organization assessments, and donor planning processes including prospect identification, research, and evaluation
  • Assess and plan for client improvements – conduct organization health assessments and deploy best practices
  • Serve as a trusted guide and resource for clients and their teams
  • Develop strategies for cultivation and solicitation of key donor prospects including the preparation of the client’s solicitation team
  • Engageourwork with constant curiosity, a desire to increase personal capacity, and a willingness to share learnings with client and team for collective growth
  • Present updates to Boards regarding scope of work, progress to goals, contract extensions, etc.
  • Support Business Development needs with grassroots networking
  • Provide accessible, responsive communication with clients when off site

Position Summary

At Mission Advancement, ourConsultantsare ourbusiness. Theyplay a pivotal role in partnering with adiverse array of clientsand adeptly navigating a broad spectrum of organizational cultures.This role is primarily dedicated toassistingclients who seekguidanceand support in the domain of capital campaign andannual fundraising strategies. Depending on prior experience, ourConsultantsmay also extend theirvaluableassistanceto clients in annual fundraising, grant work, orboard training.

The ideal candidate hasa robust background in nonprofit developmentor leadership, which includesproficiencyin relational skillsandmajor gift fundraising.Mission Advancement serves clientsnationwide, making travela fundamental,requiredaspect of this role.

This is a high-trust, high-responsibility role that requires excellent judgment, discretion, and a commitment to excellence.

  • A willingness to collaborate with a variety of faith-based organizations, comprehending their unique organizational cultures
  • Preferred – private school experience
