Job summary

The MetroHealth System's Department of Psychiatry in Cleveland seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join as a Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist. The role emphasizes clinical complexity, collaboration, and academic engagement within a major teaching health system.

You will provide primary coverage of the Psychiatry Consult-Liaison Service with secondary ED consults as needed, and participate in teaching and academic activities with Case Western Reserve University School of

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in psychiatry.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Ohio.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and team-based care.
• Interest in teaching and academic medicine; CL fellowship welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary coverage of the Psychiatry Consult-Liaison Service.
• Provide secondary coverage of Emergency Department psychiatric consultations as needed.
• Collaborate with medical, surgical, emergency medicine, psychology, addiction medicine, and other teams.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows; contribute to academic activities.
• Participate in program development, quality improvement, and research within a major academic medical center.
