Job summary

Endeavor Health in Glenview, IL and Highland Park, IL is seeking a Consult Liaison Psychiatrist to join our full-time medical team. Hours are Monday–Friday with flexible late days, and local travel is required.

You will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, provide medication management, collaborate with psychologists, nurses and social workers, and maintain accurate patient records in line with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required.
• Illinois medical license active or pending.
• Board Certification or Board Eligible in Psychiatry required.
• DEA registration required.

Responsibilities

• 34 hours clinical time and 6 hours of administrative time.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and medical histories, to diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluation and medication management for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and substance use disorders.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes with a patient-centered approach.
• Administer and manage psychotropic medications and therapies in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes in line with hospital policies.

A Brief Overview

As a Endeavor Health Physician, you will play a crucial role in delivering specialized psychiatric care to patients experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions. Your expertise and commitment to improving the mental well-being of our patients are essential to our mission.

What You Will Do

• 34 hours clinical time and 6 hours of administrative time
• Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and medical histories, to diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Providing evidence-based psychiatric evaluation and medication management for patients with various mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and substance use disorders.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Monitoring and adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize patient outcomes, using a patient-centered and recovery-oriented approach.
• Administering and managing psychotropic medications and therapies, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations.
• Participating in case conferences, team meetings, and treatment planning sessions to review patient progress and provide recommendations for care.
• Educating and supporting patients and their families, promoting mental health awareness and providing resources for coping and self-management.
• Staying informed about the latest advancements in psychiatric care through ongoing professional development and training.
