Job description

Our client, a trusted provider of fuel system services for over 50 years, serves Texas and surrounding states. With deep industry roots in petroleum equipment services, they are committed to delivering quality service through certified technicians and experienced personnel.

Position: Construction Laborer

Compensation: $20-$25 per hour

Location: DFW, TX

Responsibilities:

• Perform physical labor tasks on construction sites
• Assist the construction foreman with various duties
• Carry tools and materials, assist in equipment setup
• Handle tasks ranging from basic to complex and potentially hazardous
• Spot and direct heavy equipment operators from the ground during excavation
• Operate small equipment such as skid steer loaders
• Cut and thread steel pipe; assist in installation of underground/above-ground tanks
• Support with grade shooting and documentation
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
• Ensure placement of all safety signage and barriers
• Account for and clean tools; maintain organized job trailer or truck
• Maintain accurate job inventory
• Travel to job sites (in-state), typically Monday–Friday, with some weekend work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license
• Physical ability to bend, lift, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, and carry up to 60 lbs independently
• Capable of standing and walking for 90% of the workday
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Basic math, measurement, and mechanical skills
• Repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending and stooping; ability to stand 8–10 hours per day
• Must meet employment requirements, including a drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle report (if driving for the company)
