Job summary

Irving ISD is seeking a Construction Teacher to lead students in Architecture, Construction and Civil Engineering through hands-on curriculum and industry-aligned projects. The role focuses on building skills in power tools, safety, and software used in construction, with emphasis on real-world certifications and standards.

The teacher will deliver lessons aligned with TEA guidelines, coordinate with ACE Academy, and support students in achieving industry-recognized credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum education/certification as listed.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Texas Teaching certification or ability to complete within one year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum plans for ACE Academy aligned with district goals.
• Present subject matter per TEA guidelines and policies.
• Provide instruction on industry-standard software and opportunities to earn industry certifications.
• Use data to plan instructional strategies accommodating diverse learners.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers in classroom activities.
• Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Demonstrate compliance with TEA, policies, and industry standards.
