Job summary

Loven Contracting Inc. is looking for a part-time Operations Assistant to support the Operations Manager with day-to-day warehouse duties and inventory management. The role includes maintaining tool inventory, assisting with fleet inspections, and supporting office projects.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (preferred) and prior inventory or forklift experience. Proficiency with standard office software and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the tool inventory: assign tools, check tools back into inventory, and support inventory control procedures.
• Assist in bi-annual company-wide tool inventory.
• Maintain power tools and repair electrical cords as needed.
• Monitor and inspect company fleet vehicles and document maintenance; follow up to completion.
• Drive company vehicles to obtain or deliver supplies and support fleet maintenance.
• Assist office staff with various projects as assigned.
• Support the company s VPP safety initiatives by reporting hazards and improvements; participate in safety meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Compensation - at an amount commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid time sick leave as mandated by the state of Arizona (pro-rated based on the hours worked)

Reports to - Operations Manager

A part-time position assisting the Operations Manager with day-to-day company duties related to the maintenance of the warehouse and its inventory.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the tool inventory: This includes assigning tools and checking tools back into inventory; assisting in maintaining tool inventory in working order; helping keep an accurate inventory control procedure; and assisting in getting tools to and from job sites as needed.
• Assist in bi-annual company-wide tool inventory
• Maintain power tools, repair electrical cords, etc.
• Assist in monitoring and inspecting the various vehicles in the Loven Contacting fleet. This includes performing detailed inspections, documenting all maintenance performed, and following up on all assigned maintenance to see it through to completion
• Drive company vehicles to obtain or deliver supplies, assist with fleet maintenance, and fulfill other duties assigned
• Assist office staff with various projects, as assigned.
• Actively participate in the company's VPP efforts by reporting hazards, near misses, and improvement opportunities; participating in safety meetings and inspections; and helping maintain a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Skills/Abilities/Functions

• Regular, consistent, and prompt attendance
• Fluent in English
• Ability to interact professionally in an office environment
• Regular lifting of items in excess of 20 lbs
• Excellent verbal, written, and computer communication skills
• Strong ability to use company software to track and inventory tools and equipment
• Self-motivation
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record as determined by our insurance company guidelines

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Previous inventory experience, preferred
• Forklift experience, preferred

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at times
• Must be able to navigate across uneven terrain when at construction job sites
• Must be able to navigate the use of ladders when at construction job sites
