With the onset of cloud services Key Construction is expanding our Data Center / Mission Critical team to meet the needs of enterprise data center clients nationwide. The Traveling Superintendent can live anywhere in the U.S.

Description:

The superintendent is responsible for running the day-to-day operations on the construction site, guaranteeing adherence to the schedule, coordinating subcontractors, managing materials and equipment while ensuring plans and specifications are followed. The Traveling Superintendent can live anywhere in the U.S.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret, and understand contract documents, soil reports, plans, specifications, ASI’s, RFI’s, submittals, test reports, building codes, ADA standards, ASTM’s, and relevant project material.
• Direct day-to-day onsite supervision of subcontractors and labor force.
• Ensure that jobsite is always kept in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
• Manage schedule for subcontractors and vendors to ensure milestones are met and timely completion is achieved.
• Generating and properly describing Requests for Information (RFI) including necessary pictures and sketches.
• Complete detailed daily reports documenting weather conditions, manpower logs, work completed, project-specific notes, equipment log, jobsite visitors, inspections, and trash dumpsters.
• Complete all field reports and documentation including: orientation meetings, pre-installation meetings, safety checklists, weekly toolbox meetings, quality control inspections, and material receipts.

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 10 years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor.
• 5+ years of experience in the Data Center/Telecommunications arena working with new build and active facilities.
• Must be able to travel to any destination in the US.
• Intimate knowledge of MEP systems common to Data Center construction and operations are required.
• Knowledge and coordination of the M.O.P. process is required.
• Experience with Procore is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Proven ability to develop lasting, positive customer relationships.
• Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
