Job summary

Servpro Industries, Inc. is seeking a Construction Tradesman in Grand Rapids, MI to support restoration projects and hands-on building tasks.

You will work closely with project managers to plan and execute drywall, finishes, and repainting, restoring homes and businesses affected by damage. The role requires experience in home remodeling, a solid work ethic, reliable communication, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional home remodeling or related field.
• Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Project coordination with Project Managers to plan and schedule tasks.
• Drywall installation, mudding/taping, and painting/finishes restoration.
• Interior and exterior surface painting and staining to restore curb appeal.
• Demolition and debris removal to prep spaces for rebuilds.
• Reinstall fixtures and items and ensure proper functionality and finish.
• Maintain high workmanship standards and resolve issues for client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with teammates and meticulously track work performed and hours.

What You’ll Do

• Project Coordination: Collaborate with Project Managers to plan and schedule tasks efficiently.
• Drywall & Finishes: Expertly install drywall, handle mudding/taping, and apply paint or finishes to walls, trim, and cabinets to restore aesthetic beauty.
• Interior & Exterior Work: Paint and stain internal and external surfaces to restore curb appeal and property charm.
• Demolition & Removal: Safely perform demolition and debris removal to prep spaces for rebuilds.
• Reinstallation: Reinstall fixtures and items accurately to ensure they function properly and look polished.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain high workmanship standards—identify and resolve issues to guarantee client satisfaction.
• Team Collaboration & Record-Keeping: Work well with teammates, meticulously track work performed and hours logged, and contribute positively to the team dynamic.

What You Bring

• Experience in professional home remodeling or a related field is required.
• A solid work ethic, honesty, reliability, and keen attention to detail.
• Clear, effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Willingness and ability to work extended hours when necessary.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Schedule

• Full-time, between the hours of 7AM–6PM (Mon–Fri), minimum 40hrs/week. Expect evenings, occasional weekends (based on project demands), and local travel—with occasional out-of-area work.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally - lifting materials, climbing ladders, operating in heat/cold, working amid noise and machinery. Frequently - walking, standing, driving, using tools, and navigating jobsite environments.
