Job Description:

The Construction Trades Pathway Instructor provides engaging, hands‑on instruction designed to help high school students explore career pathways, develop employability skills, and prepare for post‑secondary success. The instructor will implement and facilitate instruction and experiences aligned with the Indiana Department of Education standards for the Construction Trades Next Level Programs of Study. This position plays a key role in supporting students’ learning in Construction Trades courses, aligned with Indiana Graduation Pathways and readiness expectations.

Educational Responsibilities:

• Participate in school‑wide professional learning communities (PLCs), staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials for the subject area, and translate lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modify instructional methods to fit individual students' needs, including students with special needs; conduct individual and small group instruction as needed.
• Continue to acquire professional knowledge and learn about current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops, or professional meetings, or by conducting research.
• Organize and maintain a system for accurate and complete record‑keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement, and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws.
• Ensure that student conduct conforms to the school's standards and school district policies, and establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.

Additional Duties:

• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
