SITECH Chesapeake is seeking a Construction Technology Support Analyst to diagnose and troubleshoot machine control systems and site positioning technology used in heavy civil construction.

The role emphasizes quick problem resolution via phone, email, and remote connections to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of GNSS principles, machine control systems, and site positioning technology.
• Must be able to read and interpret common construction data formats.
• Must be able to think quickly to handle customer situations to produce immediate results.
• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Proficiency with computers, tablets, and basic diagnostic tools.
• Must be able to travel to customer sites and work flexible hours as required.
• Must have excellent driving record.

Starting Compensation Range:

$21.56 – $27.10 per hour

The Construction Technology Support Analyst is responsible for delivering first-call-resolution to diagnose and troubleshoot machine control systems and site positioning technology used in heavy civil construction. The individual in this position focuses on quickly diagnosing and resolving common technical issues via phone, email, and remote applications to minimize customer equipment downtime.

Requirements for the Construction Technology Support Analyst position include:

• Basic understanding of GNSS principles, machine control systems, and site positioning technology
• Must be able to read and interpret common construction data formats
• Must be able to think quickly to handle customer situations to produce immediate results
• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and skills
• Strong customer service orientation with good verbal and written communication skills

Seeking Candidates with:

• Previous experience in technical support, construction technology, or related field, preferred
• Survey and construction technology experience using all major site positioning and machine control systems, preferred
• Civil engineering experience a plus
• Any manufacturer training or certification in machine control or site positioning technology

Physical Requirements:

• Required to sit and talk or hear
• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus
