Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking Traveling Construction Technicians to support renovation projects in long-term care facilities across the United States. The role requires skilled drywall, painting, framing, cabinets, handrails, and finish carpentry on occupied sites with extensive multi-state travel.

You will work full-time, perform installations and repairs, follow project plans and safety rules, and maintain professionalism around residents.

Qualifications

• Construction experience required.
• Strong drywall, painting, framing, and finish carpentry skills preferred.
• Experience with cabinet installation, handrails, and facility renovations.
• Minor electrical and plumbing experience is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform renovation and construction work in occupied senior living and long-term care facilities.
• Install and finish drywall, including patching, taping, floating, texturing, and repairs.
• Perform interior and finish painting, including surface preparation, patching, priming, and finish coats.
• Construct wood and metal stud framing.
• Install cabinets, handrails, doors, trim, and other finish carpentry items.
• Perform general facility repairs and renovation work.
• Follow project plans, schedules, and safety requirements.
• Maintain professionalism while working around residents and facility staff.
• Travel extensively to project locations in multiple states.
