Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a Construction Technician II in Concord, CA to conduct advanced field and laboratory tests on construction materials, inspect for specifications and safety, and collect data for detailed reports. You will operate and maintain specialized equipment and support project plans with a proactive, safety-first approach.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of direct experience, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of direct experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor in outdoor environments.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and reliable transportation from home to yard.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
• Prior experience in construction, environmental services, or stormwater compliance is a plus.
• Familiarity with walk behind trencher and various hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced field and laboratory tests on construction materials, structures, and systems.
• Perform inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from tests and inspections.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of findings.
• Operate and maintain advanced field and laboratory equipment.
• Assist in the development and implementation of project plans and protocols.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to the Project Manager or Supervisor.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to travel and work flexible hours
• Prior experience in construction, environmental services, or stormwater compliance is a plus
• Familiarity of walk behind trencher and various hand tools

Salary Range

$39.00/hour-$52.35/hour
