Job summary

Samaritan's Purse in Boone, NC is seeking a Construction Technician in our Facilities department. You will perform skilled hands-on work on construction, repair, and maintenance projects, with focus on carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and painting, ensuring safety and ministry standards.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school and 5+ years construction experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CDL required within 3–6 months if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled hands-on construction, repairs, and maintenance from start to finish.
• Coordinate progress, maintain records, and report updates to the Maintenance Manager.
• Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Operate vehicles and equipment (ATVs, forklifts, skid steer) as needed.
• Assist other facilities staff with grounds and building maintenance.
