Role Description The Construction Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Seattle, WA. This position is responsible for assisting with residential and commercial repair and remodel projects, including demolition, framing, drywall installation and repair, basic carpentry, painting, flooring, and minor plumbing or electrical tasks under appropriate supervision. The role includes preparing job sites, loading and unloading materials, using hand and power tools safely, and maintaining clean and organized work areas. The Construction Technician will support inspections, follow construction plans, adhere to safety procedures, and collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete projects on schedule and to quality standards. Interaction with clients in a professional manner and accurate documentation of work performed are also part of the day-to-day responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply planning skills to organize tasks, materials, and timelines for construction and repair projects.
• Experience or aptitude in inspection activities, including checking work quality, identifying issues, and supporting building surveying tasks.
• Foundational understanding or practical exposure to civil engineering concepts related to residential and light commercial construction.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices, including safe use of tools, adherence to OSHA guidelines, and commitment to a hazard-free work site.
• Previous hands-on experience in construction, remodeling, handyman, or general labor roles preferred. Handy beginners will be considered case by case and on a on-to-one testing/coaching.
• Ability to read basic plans or drawings and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and reliability in meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
• Physical ability to lift materials, work on ladders, and perform tasks in various weather conditions and environments.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in the Seattle, WA area.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or trade training in construction or related fields is a plus.
