Job summary

Orkin in Illinois is seeking motivated individuals with construction, roofing, or home improvement experience to join our pest control team. No prior pest control experience is required, as paid training will prepare you for success.

You will inspect and install pest protection systems, perform attic and crawlspace services, and maintain equipment while reporting results via handheld devices. The role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in construction-related fields is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a state pesticide license within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in attics or crawlspaces.
• Willing to wear PPE including respirator as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and install pest and home protection systems.
• Complete attic and crawlspace services, including encapsulation and insulation.
• Light carpentry work.
• Communicate clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• Candidates with construction, roofing, HVAC, or maintenance experience (preferred)

• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, confined spaces, and on roofs.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience using a metal brake to bend or shape metal components
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to obtain a state pesticide license within 90 days (company-paid training)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work safely in attics or crawlspaces
• You must wear PPE, including an OSHA-compliant respirator, as required
