Job summary

Petro-Com Corporation is seeking a Construction Technician to join our Northeast Ohio team. You will perform installation, service, repair, and maintenance of petroleum equipment while delivering great customer service.

We value reliability, safety, and a long-term commitment; starting wage is based on experience, certifications, and accreditations, with opportunities to grow within the company. Shifts are typically 8 hours, weekdays, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn construction techniques.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and background check.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
• BUSTR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for construction tasks and projects including fuel equipment removal/installation, spill buckets, sump repairs, fuel motor removal/installation, concrete work/installation, excavation, canopy, lighting, etc.
• Operate machinery and vehicles including trucks, trailers, lift trucks, bob cats, skid steers, backhoes, light and heavy equipment such as: hand tools, hand power tools, pumps, vacuums, and generators etc.; provide maintenance as required for equipment
• Work alongside a team to complete general maintenance and repair support tasks for all petroleum project sites
• Assist to maintain and repair various types of petroleum equipment including dispensers, tank monitors, fuel management systems, etc.
• Install electronic and mechanical equipment for service stations, commercial fueling facilities and related work
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects
• Completion of work-related paperwork; time sheets, daily sheets, vehicle inspection, equipment inspections; Promptly report time, travel, and parts used to the office for billing purposes
• Comply with OSHA safety standards and perform tasks safety, OSHA or Hazwoper certified a plus
• Remain actively engaged in supporting the Service Team during gaps in specific construction
