Job summary

SpaceX in Brownsville, TX is seeking a Construction Technician to frame fences, stairs, decks and other structures while supporting MEP projects. You will operate heavy equipment and ensure safety on all tasks, coordinating with the design team to meet project goals.

Responsibilities

• Frame fences, stairs, decks, walls, floors, sheds, concrete forms, and other structures.

• Support various landscaping projects.

• Operate forklifts, boom lifts, and other heavy equipment.
• Adhere to proper safety guidelines at all times.
• Keep tools, materials and equipment in working condition.
• Advise in the selection of building materials; requisitions building materials and supplies.
• Transport various heavy materials in vehicles.

CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work hours depend on site priorities and may require extended hours, weekends and holidays; flexibility required
• Must be available to travel to other sites as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. unassisted
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform regular manual labor
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
• Must have a valid TX driver’s license
