Job summary

Veit is seeking a Construction Technology Intern to support the implementation and continuous improvement of technology solutions across field and office operations. You will gain hands-on exposure to software, field tech, surveying equipment, drones, GIS, and data analytics tools that improve project performance and operational efficiency.

You will work closely with field operations, project management, engineering, and technology teams to apply innovative tech to real-world construction

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (minimum 2 years completed).
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• At least one summer of construction work experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers and leadership.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and basic statistics.
• Commitment to Veit policies and safe work practices.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation and support of construction technology platforms across field and office operations.
• Support adoption of construction technology tools through training and field coaching.
• Document technology processes, workflows, and best practices.
• Support GPS machine control operations and data management.
• Assist with site layout activities using GPS and surveying equipment.
• Help collect, organize, and validate field data.
• Participate in machine control file preparation and quality reviews.
• Assist with drone flight planning, data collection, and processing.
• Support aerial mapping, progress tracking, and site documentation.
• Help create project visualizations and progress reports.
• Gather and organize project performance data.
• Assist with dashboards, reporting, and data visualization tools.
• Support analysis of operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Attend project meetings and technology demonstrations.
