Key Responsibilities
  • In-depth knowledge of tax-related matters.
  • Assesses research findings, tax returns, and work papers, drawing conclusions that align with internal policies and standards, and deciding on the best course of action.
  • Ensures that all tax guidance is accurate and thoroughly documented.
  • Familiar with internal procedures and standards.
  • Communicates effectively.
  • Invests time in mentoring and developing colleagues, offering training and opportunities for growth.
  • Ensures that the client's needs and relevant information are clearly communicated to the team.
  • Builds connections across various service areas to provide cohesive client service.
  • Establishes trust with both clients and team members.
  • Oversees the delivery of high-quality work within set timeframes, scope, and budget constraints.
  • Experience in the construction sector is an asset.
Qualifications
  • Must be driven, capable of handling multiple tasks, and well-organized. Should maintain a positive outlook, be adaptable to various work assignments, and be willing to assist colleagues as needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • A B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting is required; an MST/MBA is a bonus.
  • CPA license is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience, with prior work in the construction industry being essential. Targeting 50% of your work to be within the construction industry.
  • Solid technical expertise in taxation.
