Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Construction Surveyor to join our Denver-based self-perform concrete construction group. You will perform staking, establish control points, and support preconstruction takeoffs, using field tools and developing skills in 3D scanning.

This role blends hands-on field work with growth opportunities in GPR and 3D scanning, offering rapid advancement within a small, collaborative team and travel to multiple sites throughout Colorado.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of surveying experience with a focus on construction staking.
• Experience laying out buildings and self-perform concrete work.
• Ability to set and maintain survey control points on active sites.
• Proficiency with field survey tools and data collection workflows.
• Knowledge of GPR and 3D scanning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform precise construction staking for building projects.
• Establish and maintain control points on active sites.
• Complete takeoff calculations to support estimates.
• Collect and verify site data using field survey tools.
• Support preconstruction by assisting with takeoffs and constructability reviews.
• Collaborate with field teams to align survey work with plans.
• Adapt surveying methods to building construction needs.
• Assist with GPR operations and 3D scanning as needed.
• Maintain survey records and digital files for project docs.
• Uphold site safety on active construction sites.
