Join the team at LC Services, an employee-owned company specializing in construction related to the gas station and petroleum industry. As a Construction Supervisor on-site, you will be responsible for project planning and ensuring timely, safe, and efficient job completion. You will supervise and direct two to three construction crews, troubleshoot routine issues, and collaborate closely with the management team.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise tasks associated with the installation of fuel tanks and dispensers, including excavation, grading, plumbing, electrical work, material planning/ordering, and concrete work.
2. Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to develop project plans.
3. Coordinate daily construction tasks according to schedules and priorities, adjusting for weather, supply, delivery, and personnel issues.
4. Promote and enforce job-site safety following industry standards and policies.
5. Monitor project budgets and expenses.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a construction project supervisor and possess the following knowledge and skills:

• Construction Knowledge: Understanding of construction procedures, equipment, trades (electrical, plumbing, grading, concrete), California electrical code, and Cal/OSHA regulations. Heavy equipment experience is a plus.
• Certifications and Testing: Must pass the ICC test to become California UST Certified and hold a valid California driver's license with a clean DMV record.
• Leadership Skills: Honest, self-motivated, capable; able to inspire others, prioritize, delegate, and maintain positive relationships with team members, inspectors, clients, and management.
• Organization and Time Management: Ability to coordinate tasks to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Clear speaking and writing; effective reporting and conflict resolution skills.
• Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues and delays, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions.
• Physical Demands: Ability to work physically for extended periods, from ladders, and handle heavy objects; good hearing, speaking, and vision for safety; motor skills for tools and assembly.
