Job description

Our client is currently seeking a Construction Supervisor - Distribution Utility

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Must have five years of progressively responsible experience with the Distribution Department or equivalent experience in a construction trades environment. Must possess thorough knowledge of all aspects of water main, service, and hydrant construction installations and maintenance.

2. Must have progressive supervisory experience/responsibility in leading utility or construction trades in planning, scheduling and executing of work (crews, teams, etc.). Demonstrated the ability to be successful in a supervisory position for a minimum of one year.

3. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Organizational ability: Must be able to maintain the schedule for multiple projects at the same time. Able to maintain appropriate records for water mains, services and hydrants as well as personnel records for time distribution and payroll for all work performed.

2. Supervision Skills: Must possess excellent supervisory (people) skills. Must be able to motivate employees in a participatory environment and enforce Authority rules, policies and procedures and discipline of employees supervised.

3. Must possess, or obtain within 6 months of being in position, and maintain a current PADEP Distribution Operator’s Certification.
