Job summary

International Concrete Products (ICP) is hiring a hands-on Production Supervisor Trainee to lead a precast concrete production team. You’ll work on the production floor alongside carpenters, prep, steel, casting, and other supervisors to drive safety, quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include planning manpower, leading meetings, supporting QC, approving timecards, and coaching team members. ICP offers year-round work, competitive pay, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1+ year of supervisory experience and ability to drive cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train production team to meet safety, quality and schedule goals.
• Plan manpower, start times, pour schedules and special production requirements.
• Hold pre-production meetings to coordinate safety, quality and efficiency.
• Assist QC with drawing issues and track production progress throughout the day.
• Approve timecards and vacation requests; review KPI targets with management.
• Perform QC duties for pre/post pour inspections and monitor batching/casting procedures.

Through collaboration with our Plant Manager, Production Manager, Quality Team, Engineering Team, and Field Teams, they support our vision to be the safest and most innovative precast building company.IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a hands-on production management role. A successful candidate will spend most of their time on the production floor, actively working alongside the team, rather than primarily in an office setting.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate complexity of pieces and plan manpower needs, start times, pour schedules and any other special requirements required for production of product linesHold production meeting(s) with the teams (carpenters, prep, steel, casting, other supervisors, other departments, or any other person(s) as deemed necessary) prior to starting new project to plan for safety, quality, and efficiency during productionAssist QC with any drawing issues and track & report on production progress throughout the dayApprove timecards and vacation requests for designated areasMeet with Production Manager daily to review goals, KPI’s or upcoming projectsAssessing any training required, accountability of teams, cleanliness of production areas, managing tool usage and organization with shadow boards or coordinating any team visits to other production areas or fieldCommunication with other department leads on any drawing, material, or other items neededComplete all safety audits, cleaning audits, and performance reviewsEstablish and plan department initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, safety, reduce waste in material or any other improvements needed. Communicate wins with the team(s)Work with Team on any corrective action plans neededPerform QC duties for pre/post pour inspectionsMonitor batching/casting procedures to ensure a quality productEstablish and monitor task times to ensure crews are working efficientlyRequirements:High school diploma or GED3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, 1+ years supervisory experience.
