Job summary

ITG Communications, LLC is seeking a safety‑minded supervisor to manage daily telecom cable construction teams, ensuring safe, timely, and high‑quality project delivery.

The role oversees aerial and underground work, coordinates resources, trains staff, and maintains compliance with safety standards while interfacing with customers and management.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years in telecom cable construction (aerial or underground).
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven track record of safe work practices and quality delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily activities of a team of technicians in telecom cable construction to meet timelines, quality, and cost.
• Enforce safety regulations, certifications, and company policies to ensure safety standards.
• Assign tasks and schedules to ITG employees and partners to optimize utilization and delivery.
• Monitor progress and quality to ensure timelines and standards are met.
• Provide training and guidance to team members, including linemen and drillers.
• Address and resolve on-site operational issues and customer interactions.
• Maintain records and prepare reports for management review for timely decisions and improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety practices.

Purpose:

Responsible for supervising the daily operations of a construction team in either aerial or underground projects, ensuring efficient execution of work while maintaining quality standards and safety. This role is crucial in delivering ITG's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction in the telecom cable industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily activities of a team of technicians or workers in telecom cable construction projects to ensure project execution as per the timelines, quality and cost.
• Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations, certifications, and company policies to ensure safety standards and compliance with regulations.
• Assign tasks and schedules to team members including ITG employees and employees of business partners, ensuring correct resource allocation and equipment availability to optimize utilization, productivity and delivery.
• Monitor work progress and quality, ensuring adherence to project timelines and standards.
• Provide training and guidance to team members, including linemen and drillers.
• Address and resolve operational issues as they arise, including on-site customer interactions.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management review to enable timely decision making and intervention for improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety practices.

Requirements

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field preferred

Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in telecom cable construction (aerial or underground)
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Proven track record of safe work practices and quality delivery

Exposure:

• Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and construction work practices
• Familiarity with telecom, broadband, and power industry projects
• Experience with construction management software and tools
• Understanding of basic financial concepts related to project budgeting/ cost
