Job summary

Peyton Resource Group in Greensboro, NC is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to lead daily telecommunications construction operations, including coaxial and fiber deployments. This hands-on field leadership role oversees crews, subcontractors, safety, and project execution.

You will supervise mainline construction, service drops, trenching, and restoration; review documentation; coordinate with customers and inspectors; and ensure OSHA safety requirements are followed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of telecommunications construction experience
• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of coaxial and fiber optic construction
• Experience with mainline construction and drop bury
• Understanding of underground utility construction
• Experience managing subcontractors
• Ability to interpret engineering prints and construction documentation
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• High school diploma or GED
• $80K-$90K annual salary
• 3rd shift: 10 PM-7 AM
• Two openings: 8/31/26 and 11/2/26 start dates
• Frequent travel throughout assigned markets
• Overnight travel may occasionally be required

Responsibilities

• Oversee mainline construction, service drops, directional boring, trenching, and restoration
• Lead foremen, crew leaders, technicians, and subcontractors
• Conduct field inspections and troubleshoot safety, quality, and productivity issues
• Provide technical guidance and adjust manpower/equipment to meet deadlines
• Manage multiple projects while tracking production, milestones, labor, costs, and completion dates
• Coordinate with customers, municipalities, utility companies, inspectors, and internal teams
• Review project documentation, production quantities, invoices, and billing
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA and company safety requirements are followed
