Construction Superintendent (National Traveling) - Charlotte

Horizon Retail Construction is an established national general contractor specializing in tenant improvement. Since 1993, we have served the largest tenants across the country, completing over 1500 projects annually.

We are currently hiring experienced Traveling Construction Superintendents.

Job Summary:

Horizon Retail Construction Superintendents oversee construction sites, acting as the primary contact on each project. They work closely with Project Managers based at our headquarters in Sturtevant, Wisconsin.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of retail tenant improvement
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Knowledge of subcontractor responsibilities
• Understanding of onsite technology
• Knowledge of OSHA standards
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Enthusiastic and professional demeanor

Travel and Driving Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
• Willingness to travel across the United States (100% travel)

Computer Skills:

• Intermediate proficiency in Outlook (e.g., email communication, attaching documents)

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervise subcontractors and client vendors on-site

Employment Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in fast-track commercial construction
• Proven success in managing projects
