Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Superintendent Intern/Co‑op to join our hands‑on team. You’ll learn the full lifecycle of a project by pairing with experienced field leaders on active sites.

Expect exposure to field operations, safety leadership, scheduling, coordination, and quality control, with mentorship to help you grow into a future industry leader. GPA 3.0, enrolled in a relevant degree, and a valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Enrolled in Civil/Architectural/Construction Engineering or Construction Management degree program.
• Co-op or internship construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic.
• Active Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Gains exposure to the full lifecycle of a project while working alongside experienced professionals.
• Field Operations – exposure to daily site activities from mobilization through completion.
• Safety Leadership – participate in daily safety meetings and inspections.
• Scheduling & Coordination – assist with subcontractor activities and progress monitoring.

A Day in the Life:

As a Superintendent Intern/Co‑op, every day brings a new lesson. You’ll gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a project while working alongside experienced professionals who are invested in your growth.

Here's what you can expect:

• Field Operations – Gain exposure to how ARCO manages daily job site activities from site mobilization through project completion.
• Safety Leadership – Participate in daily safety meetings, job site inspections, and learn how to promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Scheduling & Coordination – Assist with coordinating subcontractor activities and monitoring progress to help keep projects on schedule.
• Quality Control – Observe and support quality inspections to ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and ARCO standards.

Necessary Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0
• Enrolled in Civil/Architectural/ConstructionEngineering or Construction Management degree program
• Co‑op or Intern construction experience preferred
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic
• Active Driver's License
