Qualifications

• Minimum experience as Superintendent or comparable role in commercial construction.

• Willingness to travel across DC, MD, and VA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations on commercial construction sites.

CommercialConstruction SuperintendentWe are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee interior renovation, tenant improvement, and commercial build-out projects throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area.This is a hands-on field leadership position for someone who is comfortable managing daily job-site operations, coordinating subcontractors, communicating with clients and project managers, and keeping projects moving safely and efficiently.Projects may include corporate offices, commercial interiors, retail spaces, building renovations, occupied-space renovations, exterior improvements, and other commercial construction projects.ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day operations on commercial construction job sitesCoordinate subcontractors, trades, vendors, deliveries, and site activitiesReview drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedulesMaintain project schedules and communicate potential delays or conflictsCoordinate closely with Project Managers regarding progress, manpower, materials, and project needsConduct daily site walks and monitor workmanship and qualityIdentify field issues and work with the project team to develop solutionsCoordinate inspections and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and applicable codesMaintain a clean, organized, and professional job siteEnforce company and project safety requirementsManage punch-list items and assist with project closeoutCommunicate professionally with clients, building owners, architects, subcontractors, and other project stakeholdersCoordinate construction activities in occupied environments while minimizing disruption to building tenants and operationsDocument project progress and maintain accurate daily field reportsQualificationsPrevious Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, or comparable commercial construction leadership experienceExperience with commercial interiors, tenant improvements, office renovations, or commercial build-outs strongly preferredAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong understanding of commercial construction sequencingExperience coordinating multiple subcontractor tradesStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsProfessional communication skills and ability to interact directly with clientsAbility to travel between project sites throughout DC, Maryland, and portions of VirginiaValid driver's license and reliable transportationOSHA safety training is preferredYou should be proficient in:Construction ManagementOSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)Construction Site InstallationField MeasurementsConstruction
