Job summary

Weston Solutions, Inc. is seeking a qualified Construction Manager / Site Superintendent to direct and drive projects to completion, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring safety and schedule adherence.

The role reports to the Program Manager and Project Manager, with daily communication to the site team. Applicants should have 8–12 years of general construction experience, a Bachelor’s degree preferred, HAZWOPER and CPR/First Aid certifications, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 8–12 years of general construction experience (excavation, grading, industrial wastewater)
  • 40-Hr HAZWOPER or 8-Hr refresher
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the planned field activities.
  • Interface with third parties related to construction activities.
  • Review construction specifications and drawings.
  • Review constructability of design elements.
  • Assist in preparing a Subcontractor's bidder list for all construction contracts.
  • Assist in the evaluation of construction bids and provide recommendations.
  • Coordinate and schedule required subcontractors for each project.
  • Review subcontractor schedule and work plans.
  • Determine the quantity and volume of materials and timing of delivery.
  • Perform daily reporting of labor, equipment, and material utilization and production.
  • Review approved budget against actual job costs and production factors with the Program Manager.
  • Responsible for the scope of work and identifying change order conditions.
  • Assist the management team in reviewing and approving subcontractor invoices.
  • Perform Health and Safety related activities.
  • Responsible for cost and schedule execution and reporting of construction activities including daily notes, reports, and field logs.
  • All other duties assigned by the Program Manager.

Weston is seeking a qualified Construction Manager / Site Superintendent to direct and drive projects to completion and administer the efforts of required subcontractors. The CM / Superintendent communicates on a regular daily basis with the Program Manager, the Project Manager, the Site Engineer, and subcontractors regarding the project, the project timeline, and project startup and staffing requirements.

  • Perform daily reporting of labor, equipment, and material utilization, along with daily production (essential for tracking daily job costs).
  • Review approved budget against actual job costs and production factors with the Program Manager.
  • Responsible for the scope of work and identifying change order conditions
  • Assist the management team in reviewing and approving subcontractor invoices.
  • Perform Health and Safety related activities.
  • Responsible for cost and schedule execution and reporting of construction activities including preparing and maintaining accurate daily notes, daily reports, and field logs.
  • All other duties assigned by the Program Manager.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Experience in supervising remediation and construction projects
  • Ability to set priorities and exercise flexibility where necessary
  • Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, schematics and other construction documents
  • Ability to check grade and verify elevations using a laser
  • Understanding proper safety procedures and recognition of hazards
  • Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify and meet our customers’ needs, expectations and requirements
  • Must be a team player and create a positive environment
  • Must be a self-starter and problem solver
  • Must be capable of managing multiple tasks under time constraints
  • Must possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
  • Must have the ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
  • Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as needed, including weekends.
Education/Training
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 – 12 years of experience in general construction with an emphasis on excavation, grading, and industrial wastewater treatment.
  • 40-Hr HAZWOPER or current 8-Hr HAZWOPER Refresher Certification
  • Current CPR/First Aid training certification
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • The job entails physical demands while performing the duties of this job. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs without aid.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
Salary Range: $95,872 - $126,819 - $157,661
