A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to join their San Antonio team. This is a local opportunity for a Superintendent with a strong track record delivering Class A office construction and the professionalism needed to represent the company with owners, architects, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects from mobilization through completion.
• Manage subcontractors, site logistics, scheduling, quality control, safety, and overall field execution.
• Coordinate closely with the Project Manager and project team to maintain schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
• Review plans, specifications, and project documents to identify and resolve field issues.
• Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain clear communication across the project team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional job site.
• Work directly with owners, architects, consultants, and other project stakeholders throughout construction.
• Proactively identify potential schedule, quality, and coordination issues and develop solutions.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and established quality standards.
• Drive successful project closeout, punch list completion, and turnover.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial construction experience with Class A office projects is required.
• Currently working for a commercial general contractor.
• Proven experience leading complex commercial projects as a Superintendent.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction means, methods, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
• Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and multiple project stakeholders effectively.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Professional presence when interacting with owners, architects, and clients.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality.

Location Requirement

• Must currently live in the San Antonio, TX market.
• Local candidates only — this position is not open to travelers or candidates requiring relocation.
• Must have established experience working on commercial construction projects in the San Antonio market.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a substantial portfolio of completed Class A office projects rather than limited or incidental office experience.
