BBSI has partnered with a leading innovative builder in Orange County, renowned for its expert team and diverse project portfolio. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and driven Construction Superintendent to lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial, mixed-use, residential, and commercial projects ranging from $4M to $10M. This role requires exceptional leadership, a commitment to safety and quality, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget. The Superintendent will play a critical role in coordinating construction activities and ensuring project success.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are executed according to plans, specifications, and schedules.
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain a cohesive and efficient workflow.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to mitigate delays or problems.

Safety and Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all team members, subcontractors, and visitors.
Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify and rectify potential hazards.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that all construction work meets or exceeds industry standards and project specifications.
Conduct quality inspections and collaborate with relevant parties to address any deficiencies promptly.
Supervise and mentor on-site construction personnel, including subcontractors and laborers.
Foster a collaborative and positive working atmosphere to enhance team productivity and cohesion.

Communication:

Maintain clear and open communication with project stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and subcontractors.
Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and milestones.

Scheduling and Budgeting:

Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring that construction activities are well-coordinated and aligned with project timelines.
Monitor project expenditures and costs, making adjustments as necessary to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve on-site challenges, conflicts, and unforeseen issues that may arise during construction.
Implement effective solutions while minimizing impact on project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5–10 years of Construction experience in industrial, commercial, mixed-use, and residential construction, including at least 5 years as a Superintendent with extensive expertise in ground-up builds.
Relevant certifications in construction and safety management (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR)
Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse on-site team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with project stakeholders and team members.
Demonstrated ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions under pressure.
Effective time management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Keen attention to detail to ensure construction quality and compliance with specifications.
Proficiency with Industry software such as Trimble Project Sight or Procore, and MS office
A valid driver’s license.
