Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for design-build projects in pharma, biotech, semiconductor, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing. You will oversee site activities from preconstruction to turnover, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality across complex cleanroom environments.

The role requires 5+ years of superintendent experience on mission-critical projects, OSHA familiarity, and willingness to travel 100% to project

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, life sciences, or mission-critical projects.
• Cleanroom experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Attend preconstruction and kickoff meetings with the Project Manager.
• Review scope, schedule and milestones before mobilization.
• Coordinate jobsite setup, logistics, and site safety prior to construction activities.
• Manage daily field operations to ensure safe, efficient work per specs.
• Supervise subcontractors, field crews, and trade partners throughout all phases.
• Coordinate installation activities to maintain schedules and minimize disruptions.
• Build relationships with clients, inspectors, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor manpower, equipment and material utilization to maximize productivity.
• Lead daily safety briefings and toolbox talks per OSHA policies.
• Maintain daily reports, production tracking, and project records.
• Identify and resolve field issues and communicate updates to PM.

Metric Geo is partnering with a leading design-build contractor specializing in modular cleanrooms, controlled environments, and mission-critical facilities, on the search for an experienced Construction Superintendent. This is an opportunity to lead innovative projects across the pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing sectors while overseeing field operations from preconstruction through project completion.

Responsibilities

• Attend all required preconstruction and project kickoff meetings
• Review project scope, schedule, and milestones with the Project Manager before mobilization
• Coordinate jobsite setup, logistics, and site safety prior to construction activities
• Manage daily field operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications
• Supervise subcontractors, field crews, and trade partners throughout all phases of construction
• Coordinate installation activities to maintain project schedules and minimize disruptions
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, inspectors, engineers, and project stakeholders
• Ensure all work meets quality standards, contract documents, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization to maximize productivity
• Generate and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules to support project execution
• Verify that all required materials, equipment, and resources are available as scheduled
• Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, site documentation, and project records
• Lead daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively while communicating updates to the Project Management team
• Support project closeout activities, punch list completion, and final turnover to the client
• Perform other construction-related duties as required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (Construction Management or related education preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, life sciences, or mission-critical projects
• Cleanroom experience an advantage!
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industry best practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel 100%
