Job summary

Talently seeks a Construction Superintendent to manage on-site operations for large commercial and institutional projects in the South Atlanta region. You will supervise crews, coordinate with PMs, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery from groundbreaking through close-out.

The role requires 2–5 years of superintendent experience, strong scheduling and reporting skills, and OSHA compliance. On-site work with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 2–5 years of superintendent experience.
• Experience supervising multi-trade crews on commercial/institutional projects.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills using MS Office.
• Experience creating and managing detailed project schedules and daily reports.
• Safety management experience including OSHA compliance and safety meetings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of construction crews, subcontractors, and assistants to keep projects on schedule.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, architects, and owners to ensure alignment with plans and specs.
• Prepare and distribute daily construction reports, weekly updates, RFIs, and change orders; maintain documentation.
• Develop three-week schedule forecasts and track progress against the master schedule; address delays proactively.
• Lead safety initiatives with daily/weekly safety reports and pre-task meetings; ensure compliance with OSHA and site safety plans.
• Manage quality control through punch lists, submittal reviews, and verification against drawings.
• Oversee cost tracking, maintain cost logs, and reconcile expenditures with the Project Manager.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Certification such as OSHA 30-hour, CSP, or PMP.
• Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, PlanGrid).
• Experience with ground-up construction of retail, office, or healthcare facilities.
• Knowledge of storm water management plans and SWMP documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
