Job summary

Laland Baptiste is actively seeking a Construction Superintendent to provide on-site leadership for the Library Systems Upgrade. The role focuses on the 9,000 sq ft renovation of a historic building, including roofing, wall rehabilitation, and mechanical room work, while prioritizing safety and schedule adherence.

You will direct daily field operations, manage multiple trades, and ensure work complies with drawings, permits, and quality standards in a dense urban setting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience supervising building envelope rehabilitation including roof systems and facade restoration.
• Experience coordinating major mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades and ADA elevator upgrades.
• Deep understanding of OSHA regulations and NYC safety standards.
• Proven ability to manage multi-trade coordination in a single-phase construction project.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site supervision for the 9,000 square foot facility renovation and ensure trades adhere to the project schedule and drawings.
• Manage site improvements including roof replacement, concrete retaining wall rehabilitation, and mechanical room waterproofing.
• Oversee asbestos abatement and safe interior restorations addressing water infiltration.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive site safety management plans in strict adherence to OSHA regulations.
• Coordinate complex logistics, site drainage, and traffic management within a constrained urban neighborhood environment.

This critical project involves the comprehensive modernization and structural repair of a 1900s building to improve energy efficiency, life safety, and accessibility. You will direct daily field operations, ensuring that the work is completed safely, to the highest quality standards, and within a single construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily on-site supervision for the 9,000 square foot facility renovation, ensuring all trades adhere to the project schedule and drawings.
• Manage site and building improvements, including roof replacement, concrete retaining wall rehabilitation, and mechanical room waterproofing.
• Oversee incidental asbestos abatement and manage safe interior restorations to address water infiltration damage.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive site safety management plans in strict adherence to OSHA regulations.
• Manage complex logistics, site drainage coordination, and traffic management within a constrained urban neighborhood environment.

Qualifications
