Job summary

Global Facility Management & Construction, Inc. seeks a Construction Superintendent to lead daily on-site operations for multiple projects. You will coordinate field crews and subcontractors, enforce safety standards, monitor quality and progress against plans, and manage site documentation.

Travel to project locations is required, up to three weeks at a time. Ideal candidates bring strong site management, budgeting, and leadership skills, with experience in commercial or multi-site construction

Role Description

The Construction Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role. This position oversees day-to-day field operations for construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors and technicians, managing construction site activities, monitoring quality and compliance with plans and specifications, and enforcing safety standards and regulations. The superintendent is expected to resolve on-site challenges quickly, maintain organized documentation, and support successful project delivery from start to finish. Must be able to travel for up to 3 weeks at a time.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Construction Site Management skills, including coordination of field crews and oversight of daily on-site activities.
• Candidates should possess Construction Safety knowledge, with experience enforcing safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and risk mitigation practices.
• Candidates should possess solid Organization Skills, including documentation management, scheduling, and prioritization of tasks.
• Candidates should possess Budgeting capabilities, including tracking costs, supporting forecasts, and helping maintain projects within financial targets.
• Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including timeline management, stakeholder communication, and issue resolution.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in commercial or multi-site construction, familiarity with facility management projects, and proficiency with construction management software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to lead diverse on-site teams, and a commitment to quality and safety are essential.
• Relevant education or certifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field, and prior superintendent or foreperson experience are preferred.
