gobravvo is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead on-site management for public works and institutional projects in Las Vegas, NV. You will direct field operations, supervise crews, and ensure safety, schedule, cost, and quality targets are met from start to finish.

The Construction Superintendent plays a pivotal leadership role in the successful execution of public-sector construction projects. As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management and supervision of all on-site construction activities, ensuring that each project is delivered according to the highest standards of safety, schedule, quality, and budget. This full-time opportunity invites candidates who have substantial experience overseeing complex projects in sectors such as education, municipal infrastructure, and civic facilities.

Construction Superintendent - Summary

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for all aspects of jobsite management for public works and institutional construction projects. The role involves direct supervision of field operations, labor crews, and subcontractors, ensuring all activities conform to project specifications and regulatory requirements. You will be tasked with maintaining a safe working environment, optimizing productivity, and facilitating effective communication between all parties involved. Success in this role depends on your ability to anticipate challenges, implement proactive solutions, and maintain strict adherence to project timelines and budgets.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all jobsite activities from project commencement through completion, ensuring operational excellence at every stage.
• Supervise field crews and coordinate subcontractor activities to meet project milestones and deliverables.
• Monitor and enforce safety standards, quality controls, and adherence to construction best practices.
• Conduct regular meetings with subcontractors to review schedules, performance, safety, and quality.
• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules to ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
• Track field productivity, oversee self-performed work, and address Requests for Information (RFIs) and project changes proactively.
• Facilitate clear and consistent communication with project managers, stakeholders, and owners to align field operations with overall project goals.
• Prepare for and participate in project closeout activities, ensuring thorough documentation and smooth turnover.
• Supervise large teams, including up to 300 employees and subcontractors, as required by project scope.
• Maintain a professional, collaborative relationship with all project participants, including public entities and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
• Proven experience overseeing public-sector or educational construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and schedule multiple subcontractors on active job sites.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction field concepts, industry practices, and procedures.
• Ability to work full-time on active construction sites, which may include job trailers and environments with typical construction activity.

Ideal Candidate Snapshot

• Experience managing projects for public agencies such as school districts or municipal clients.
• Knowledge of construction delivery methods, including CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk).
• Familiarity with diverse project types—Tilt-Up, Office, Education, Aviation, Medical, Federal/Municipal, Sports & Recreation, Parking Structures, Tenant Improvement, and Renovation.
• Strong skills in constructability reviews, site logistics, and preconstruction planning.
• Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, e-Builder, P6, or similar).
• Working knowledge of MEPF systems, underground utilities, and self-perform concrete work.
• Understanding of integrated building systems (telecommunications, security, AV, fire alarm, EMS, etc.).
