Amicus Talent Group is seeking experienced Construction Superintendents for commercial projects across Houston, San Antonio, Galveston, Temple and College Station, TX. This hands-on leadership role requires ownership of day-to-day site operations to drive projects to successful completion.

You will manage subcontractors, schedules, safety, quality, and coordinate with project teams. On-site role with growth opportunities within a reputable Texas general contractor.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent within commercial construction.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with on-site accountability.
• Experience reading architectural, structural and MEP drawings and coordinating trades.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and site safety practices.

• Review drawings and project documentation for compliance and quality.

• Ensure building code compliance and maintain a strong safety culture.

About the Opportunity

Amicus Talent Group is working with an established General Contractor looking to appoint experienced Construction Superintendents across multiple locations in Texas.

We have opportunities in Houston, San Antonio, Galveston, Temple and College Station for individuals with a strong background in commercial construction who can take ownership of day-to-day site operations and drive projects through to successful completion.

We are looking for hands‑on construction leaders who understand how to manage subcontractors, maintain project schedules, uphold safety standards and deliver high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities on commercial building projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule and to specification.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
• Develop and maintain short-term construction schedules, including look‑ahead planning and daily work coordination.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays and implement solutions to keep work moving.
• Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, architects and clients throughout the construction process.
• Review construction drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality standards and building code requirements are met.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Manage site logistics, material deliveries, equipment and workforce requirements.
• Lead site meetings, provide progress updates and maintain accurate daily reports.
• Oversee project closeout, punch lists and final inspections.

Experience & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent within commercial construction.
• Strong General Contractor background preferred.
• Experience delivering ground‑up commercial construction, renovations or large‑scale building projects.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience managing multiple trades and maintaining accountability across subcontractor teams.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction site safety requirements.
• Comfortable working full‑time on site.

You will be someone who takes ownership, leads from the front and works collaboratively with the wider project team to overcome challenges and keep projects moving.

Commercial construction experience is essential, and candidates with a strong track record working for General Contractors are particularly encouraged to apply.
