Construction Superintendent
Location - Hanover, MD
Wage/Salary Range: $120K - $150k

Field Leadership Direct daily field operations on multiple federal construction projects simultaneously. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain project schedule and productivity. Plan work activities to maximize efficiency while minimizing disruption to occupied government facilities. Conduct daily site meetings and communicate project expectations to all trades. Maintain a professional and productive jobsite culture.
Project Execution Manage project schedules and coordinate sequencing of multiple construction trades. Monitor progress and proactively identify potential schedule impacts before they become problems. Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents with subcontractors. Coordinate material deliveries and equipment to support efficient project execution. Support successful project turnover and closeout activities.
Quality Control Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, UFC requirements, and contract documents. Identify construction deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions. Support submittal implementation, inspections, testing, punch list completion, and project closeout. Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and field records.
Safety Leadership Promote a proactive safety culture across every project. Ensure subcontractors comply with OSHA requirements and project-specific safety plans. Conduct routine safety inspections and immediately address unsafe conditions. Lead by example through consistent safe work practices and accountability.
Client Relationships Serve as a trusted field representative for BSNC. Build positive working relationships with Owners, Contracting Officers, CORs, Quality Assurance personnel, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions professionally and proactively.
This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.
Employees must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness. Must be able to lift approximately 40lbs alone. Must be able to spend extended periods of time (up to 2-4 hours) on your feet or walking around a project site, potentially on uneven surfaces or within areas actively in construction. Must be able to get to the project site on time, and under your own means of transportation, this includes to secure government facilities, through access control points.

As a Construction Superintendent, you will serve as the field leader responsible for safely delivering multiple federal construction projects throughout the Greater Baltimore and DC Metro area. Working closely with Project Managers, Quality Control Managers, subcontractors, and federal clients, you'll coordinate daily construction activities while ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with contract requirements.
Work locations will vary depending on project locations, all project operations are based out of our Hanover, MD office. Project sites include locations in the greater Baltimore and DC-Metro areas. Employees are expected to transport themselves to and from project sites, or the main office on a daily basis.
Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, start times vary depending on the project from roughly 6:00am to 8:00am and typically end between 3:30pm and 5:30pm. Employees are expected to be punctual and willing to work at the project site for the duration of the onsite work hours. Please note availability for overnight work, or work beyond normal working hours.
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing any required background investigation, pre-employment drug screening, and obtaining access to applicable federal or military installations.
