National Shell Contractors LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations for shell construction projects from foundation through roof completion.

This hands-on leadership role coordinates subcontractors and suppliers, maintains the project schedule, monitors quality and safety, and ensures work aligns with plans and specifications. Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll drive progress and uphold safety on site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of shell construction experience required.
• Demonstrated experience managing construction from foundation through structural completion.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and priorities while maintaining schedule, quality, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all field activities from foundation through roof per plans and specs.
• Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and project partners.
• Partner with the Project Manager to plan and execute work according to the project schedule.
• Develop and maintain 2-week look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays; communicate field issues quickly.
• Complete daily project reports with progress photos.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and scope requirements.
• Identify conflicts or missing information and submit RFIs for review.
• Perform ongoing quality-control checks to ensure work meets requirements.
• Maintain and enforce project safety standards and the site safety plan.
• Coordinate jobsite mobilization and demobilization.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe jobsite.
• Operate equipment as needed (lull/telehandler, excavator, Bobcat, man lift).

Location: Tri-county area

National Shell is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations for shell construction projects from foundation through roof completion.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of shell construction experience required.
• Demonstrated experience managing construction from foundation through structural completion.
• Strong knowledge of shell construction materials, including:
  • Concrete
  • CMU/block
  • Rebar
  • Lumber
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and field operations.
• Working knowledge of PlanSwift preferred.
• Understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and processes.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and priorities while maintaining schedule, quality, and safety standards.

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Valid driver’s license
• OSHA 30 certification
• Forklift certification
• First Aid/CPR certification
