Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day jobsite operations, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Lead subcontractors and field teams across trades (concrete, MEP, façade, interior finish).
• Plan and sequence work activities, identify gaps or conflicts in drawings and specs.
• Manage jobsite logistics, inspections, schedules, and issue resolution.
• Represent Summit Design + Build in project meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and ownership.

Summit Design + Build is actively looking for an experienced and motivated Superintendent in Chicago who’s ready to take on an exciting and challenging role. With a growing portfolio of multi-family, mid-rise residential, and complex commercial work, this role requires a superintendent who can lead fast-paced projects with strong field leadership, sequencing, and coordination skills.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Superintendents with 10+ years of construction supervision experience
• Proven experience leading multi-family and mid-rise residential projects (ground-up and/or complex renovations)
• Strong ability to manage jobsite sequencing, logistics, and day-to-day field coordination
• Experience leading subcontractors and driving accountability to schedule, quality, and safety standards
• Ability to identify and resolve field conflicts quickly and communicate effectively with the project team
• Leaders who run organized job sites and maintain strong documentation and follow-through
• Familiarity with the Chicagoland market is preferred
• Procore experience is required

Responsibilities:

Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Salary Range:

$110k–$150k per year, depending on experience and qualifications
