Role Description

The construction superintendent executes commercial construction projects by organizing, planning, and overseeing project tasks. They complete quality inspections, coordinate and supervise all project members, including field staff and subcontractors/vendors.

-Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation

Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials and other project costs.

-Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline.

-Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers

-Create schedules for workers and subcontractors

-Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly

-Maintain a detailed daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary

-Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines

-Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient

-Knowledge to read drawings and track changes from any revisions/addendums

• Manage communications with the office support staff, computer savvy, able to articulate a professional email/letter to Clients, as needed.

Qualifications

• Construction Site Management and Project Management skills, at least 3+ years
• Construction Safety knowledge
• Strong Organization Skills and Budgeting abilities
• Experience in overseeing construction project scopes, coordination of subcontractors/vendors
• Sequencing of work trades
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
