Job summary

Boutique Recruiting seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead complex public works and ground-up projects in Kern County. You will provide hands-on field leadership, drive schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and uphold safety and quality standards on site.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in public works or large-scale ground-up construction, strong ability to read drawings, and proficiency with Procore/Bluebeam and MS Office. DOE salary up to $170k.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Superintendent experience within public works and educational construction or substantial ground-up commercial construction.
• Strong ground-up construction background with emphasis on new builds.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, blueprints, specifications, contracts, and building codes.
• Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong scheduling, quality-control, subcontractor-management and jobsite safety experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and ability to perform on-site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations and oversee project execution from site mobilization through completion.
• Manage project schedules, track progress, and update CPM schedules to minimize delays.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, manpower, inspections, material procurement, and jobsite logistics.
• Maintain jobsite safety standards, conduct inspections and safety meetings, and address compliance concerns.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change-related documentation, cost proposals, pay applications, and subcontractor billing.
• Perform quality control throughout construction, ensuring framing, concrete, formwork, and other work meets plans and specifications.
• Maintain daily project reports, as-built documentation, and communication with Project Managers, inspectors, contractors, and ownership representatives.

Position Title: Construction Superintendent

Take ownership of high-impact public works and ground-up construction projects with a team that gives its Superintendents the resources, technology, and leadership support to do the job right. We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to provide hands-on field leadership for complex construction projects throughout Kern County and surrounding markets. This role is responsible for driving project schedules, coordinating subcontractors and trades, maintaining safety and quality standards, managing RFIs and submittals, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

The ideal candidate is an experienced, accountable Superintendent with a strong background in public works, educational or large-scale ground-up commercial construction who knows how to lead a jobsite without ego, communicate effectively with project teams, and keep schedules, budgets, and quality on track

Salary Range: $95,000 - $170,000 / Year, DOE

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 7+ years of Superintendent experience within public works and educational construction or substantial ground-up commercial construction
• Strong ground-up construction background with experience weighted toward new builds rather than remodels
• Thorough understanding of construction methods, sequencing, framing, concrete, structural systems, and material applications
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, blueprints, specifications, contracts, and applicable building codes
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
• Strong scheduling, quality-control, subcontractor-management and jobsite safety experience
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and ability to perform the physical requirements of an active construction site
