Job summary

Branch Civil in Virginia Beach, VA is offering a Summer Internship for rising sophomores, juniors and seniors pursuing Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related degrees. Interns will gain hands-on experience with preconstruction, project management and field supervision, plus mentoring.

You will interact with subcontractors, vendors and owners and, at the end, present what you learned to the team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled college students pursuing Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or related degree.
• Strong communication and professional attitude for interaction with coworkers, customers and the public.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Preconstruction, Project Management and Field Supervision tasks under mentorship.
• Interact with subcontractors, vendors and owners.
• Participate in cost planning, scheduling, materials procurement, cost control and quality management.
• Prepare a final presentation outlining their internship experience.
• Follow safety and security procedures and determine appropriate actions.
