Responsibilities:

• Perform nonlinear analysis for an existing suspension bridge.
• Develop a 3D finite element model based on design drawings.
• Perform influence line analysis using the 3D model.
• Write program code to determine the worst-case live load effects on structural members.
• Identify maximum structural responses under various load cases.
• Perform load rating for bridges according to AASHTO standards.
• Calculate capacity of truss members and gusset plates based on AASHTO guidelines.
• Design RC structures following AASHTO and ACI codes.
• Determine reinforcement requirements for RC culverts and bridge footings.
• Estimate quantities and costs for railway bridge projects.
• Perform structural stability analysis, including for corroded pier structures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Bridge and Tunnel Engineering.
