Kroger is seeking a Category Manager to drive category strategy, optimize supplier base, and execute sourcing events while aligning with business partners in Cincinnati. The role emphasizes savings targets, supplier collaboration, and adherence to Kroger's values.

The candidate will lead procurement initiatives across strategy, contract management, and SRM, supervising analysts and ensuring durable supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Retail, CPG, or related disciplines.
• 5 years' experience within the pertinent category.
• Ability to build impactful relationships with internal clients and key influencers to execute work.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio).
• Oral and written communication skills to formulate strategies in a complex business environment.

Responsabilités

• Define and review procurement strategy and project pipeline with senior manager.
• Perform periodic financial reviews of category performance.
• Identify suppliers to extend payment terms and improve gross margin.
• Negotiate and execute highly complex contracts with suppliers.
• Lead SRM activities to create value and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee procurement process metrics and ensure alignment with business decisions.
