Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a Construction Staking Survey Project Manager to oversee multiple land survey projects from start to finish in Houston, TX. You will manage budgets, staffing, schedules, and client communications while ensuring quality and compliance with specifications.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Geopack, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry related work experience in a professional or management capacity.
• Bachelor's degree in related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large scale projects.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Geopack, and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to define assignments/deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Manage land survey projects from start to finish, ensuring services meet standards and client specs.
• Plan and implement procedures to maximize operating efficiency.
• Develop and manage proposals, budgets, schedules, billings, and contracts.
• Sign and seal plats, field notes, and control drawings if required.
• Establish work plans and staffing requirements for multiple land survey projects.
• Participate in business development and maintain strong client relationships.
• Present to clients and stakeholders; interface with sub-consultants and partners.
• Provide support to other operational units as needed.
• Report financial status including AR/WIP and billing cycles.
